Foreword

Since I passed writing exam in September, I can write essays in English, too. I guess it will be useful for me as well my foreign friends.

Essay writing in English is like solving some differential equation. It has some certain rules. If you obey the rules, even without creative ideas, you can write accomplished essays. On the other hand, it is very easy to forget something that you don’t use. Therefore, I will try to write some essays in English, as well as Turkish writings, for my blog.

By the way, Boğaziçi University’s The School of Foreign Languages offers a very well organized web page for who wants to improve their writing skills. It is called BUOWL (Bogazici University Online Writing Lab). It was very helpful for me. My teacher couldn’t believe that the article I wrote belonged to me, after I studied that web page. I recommend that page for who will take any writing exam or TOEFL.

And here are my goals for this blog: As I explained in my first writing in Turkish, I am blogging because I want to make some memories durable, I want to give news about me and want to share any kind of information with people. I believe that information should be globalized. In addition to that, writing is a way for communication and communication is one of the most important problems of us. So, we need to write!
